What You Must Understand Before You Lease
Fines, Liens and Encumbrances
By: Roosevelt Gist
You must keep the leased vehicle free
of any fines, liens and encumbrances. You and your lessor will be notified
if you do not pay them. Your lessor will pay and add the charges to your
lease, plus service fees. The most common fines are parking and/or traffic
tickets. Mechanics liens are another. Sophisticated computer systems makes
it easy to process parking and traffic tickets from out of state. So, don't
think that since you may be out of your state that you do not have to pay
these tickets.
| NOTE: Your lessor will be notified of any parking and traffic tickets
both locally and/or out of state. Pay promptly and avoid possible penalties. |
